A: No, the TS600 does not contain UV diodes. The chip configuration includes 3000K (flowering & yield boost), 5000K (germination support), 660nm red (flowering promotion), and 730nm IR (infrared for enhanced bloom). While there’s no harmful UV, the light is very bright, and Mars Hydro recommends wearing sunglasses or protective eyewear to reduce eye strain when working under LED grow lights.
Q: How does the TS600 perform for seed starting?
A: The TS600 is excellent for seed starting and early growth. For best results in the seedling stage, hang the light at about 24" (60 cm) above your plants at reduced intensity.
Q: I have a TS600 in a 4x4 grow tent and want to expand from 1 DWC bucket to 4. Will two TS600s be enough?
A: Two TS600 units will not fully cover a 4x4 grow tent for multiple mature plants. For 4 buckets, we recommend either upgrading to a higher-performance LED (such as the TS1000, TSW2000, or TS3000) or adding more TS600 units. Always review the PPFD map of the TS600 to match your plant’s light requirements.
