Q: Can the iControl controller work with older Mars Hydro iHub or controller models?
A: No. The iControl Smart Controller is only compatible with the new generation iHub devices such as iHub Pro and iHub-4AC. The old iHub and Controller43 cannot be used due to hardware and protocol differences. Likewise, the new iHub-4AC cannot be connected to older controllers.
Q: What types of devices can be connected to the iControl controller, and how many?
A: The iControl can connect to multiple Mars Hydro devices including LED grow lights, clip fans, inline fans, humidifiers, iHub Pro units, and iHub-4AC power strips. The actual number of devices depends on available RJ12 ports and safe load guidelines. Refer to the Mars Hydro user manual for exact port limits and power capacity recommendations.
Q: Can I use multiple phones with the iControl controller and will settings stay synced?
A: Yes. Multiple phones can access the same iControl controller when logged into the same Mars Hydro account over Wi-Fi. All settings and historical data remain synchronized. When connected via Bluetooth, history may not fully sync due to offline local storage limits.
Q: What happens during a power outage? Will devices resume operation?
A: Yes. All Mars Hydro smart devices feature a power-off memory function. Once power is restored, they will automatically resume their previous operating state with minimal or no delay.
Q: How are devices triggered under temperature & humidity strategy mode?
A: In Environmental Strategy mode, the iControl continuously monitors temperature and humidity levels. If either value falls outside your set thresholds, it automatically activates the appropriate connected devices to restore optimal conditions.
Q: How do RJ12 compatibility and product limitations affect device control?
A: Only Mars Hydro devices with RJ12 interfaces can access full smart functions through the iControl and iHub units. Non-RJ12 devices can still connect to the iHub Pro for basic On/Off, Timer, and Environmental Trigger functions, but advanced controls such as dimming or fan speed adjustment are unavailable.
Q: Can I control multiple grow tents with one iHub Pro or one iControl?
A: No. One iControl or iHub Pro can only manage one grow environment at a time. Each controller reads data from a single sensor set, so controlling multiple tents with different conditions requires separate controller/iHub combinations.
Q: How does the new iControl controller differ from the old Controller43?
A: The older Controller43 only supported smart control of LED grow lights. The new iControl adds full climate management, including fans, clip fans, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers. It also introduces VPD strategy, smart alerts, and sensor expansion — offering complete grow room automation.
Q: Can devices without an RJ12 cable be used with the iControl controller?
A: No. The iControl requires RJ12 connections to recognize and control devices. Products without RJ12 interfaces cannot be integrated for smart control.
Q: Are all RJ12 cables from Mars Hydro devices interchangeable?
A: Yes. All RJ12 cables supplied with Mars Hydro smart devices are universal and interchangeable across controllers, fans, lights, and hubs. This standardization simplifies setup and cable management.
Q: How many tents can this device control?
A: The iControl is recommended for use in one tent at a time. Each controller can only read one sensor set, making it impossible to manage multiple environments with different conditions. Daisy-chaining is supported, but all devices in a chain follow the same switching strategy.

We offer free shipping on all orders over $200 shipped to addresses within the continental United States. Orders under $200 will have shipping calculated at checkout. There are no hidden fees or handling charges. The price you see at checkout is the final price you pay.

Delivery and Moving Disclaimer
Please note: We do not offer moving or installation services. For freight shipments or large items, carriers are only responsible for curbside delivery. Drivers are not required to move items inside your home, up stairs, or to specific locations. We strongly recommend having assistance available at the time of delivery for heavy or bulky shipments.
Address Accuracy & Order Changes

Damaged or Lost Shipments
